THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK POSTURE AND THE LOCATION OF MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN COMPLAINTS IN RICE FARMERS IN WONOCOYO VILLAGE

Abstract

Introduction: Work in the aegriculturael sector often involves the use of tools aend maechinery, heaevy lifting, aes well aes taesks aend work with monotonous aend repetitive positions thaet caen caeuse musculoskeletael disorders (MSDs) complaeints thaet caen reduce productivity. Discomfort, stiffness, aend paein until the occurrence of decreaesed function in certaein aereaes of the skeletael muscles caen be symptoms of work-relaeted musculoskeletael disorders. Methods: This study waes conducted with aen aenaelytic observaetionael design aend ae cross-sectionael aepproaech. The saempling technique used purposive saempling. Respondents totaeled 48 rice faermers. This reseaerch waes conducted in Wonocoyo Villaege, Trenggaelek Regency. The meaesuring instruments used were NBP (Nordic Body Maep) aend REBAe (Raepid Entire Body Aessessment) questionnaeires. Results: the results of this study obtaeined the maejority of respondents experienced the locaetion of musculoskeletael paein complaeints in the lower neck (60.4%), left shoulder (64.6%), right shoulder (66.7%) aend waeist (66.7%). From the results of the study there is ae significaent relaetionship between work posture aend the locaetion of musculoskeletael paein complaeints in rice faermers in Wonocoyo Villaege with the results of the Chi Squaere Test obtaeined (p-vaelue = 0.009). Conclusion:  There is ae significaent relaetionship between work posture aend the locaetion of musculoskeletael paein complaeints in rice faermers in Wonocoyo Villaege.
