Introduction: Adolescent girls often experience menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) as part of the menstrual cycle. As a result of dysmenorrhea, many people complain that their activities become limited. One effort that can be made to reduce dysmenorrhea is by giving tamarind turmeric drinks. This study aims to determine the effect of consuming sour turmeric drinks on primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls at MTS Wali Songo. Method: Pre-experimental design research type with pretest and posttest one group design. The total sample of 32 respondents was determined used a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon math pair t test. Results: The results of the study showed that before being given treatment, the majority of respondents had moderate pain, 27 respondents (84.4%) and after being given treatment, the majority of respondents had mild pain, 26 respondents (81.2%). The results of the analysis showed the p value = 0.000 < α < 0.05, meaning it is significant. Conclusion: There is an effect of consuming sour turmeric drinks on primary dysmenorrhea in young women at MTS Wali Songo.
